Summary Police vehicle ran out of petrol ahead of Prime Minister's visit
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police never fail to leave us dumbstruck as in another such incident, law enforcers were reported today to be in habit of handcuffing seized motorcycles, Dunya News reported Friday.
Personnel apparently handcuff motorcycles that are seized for non-registration or other felonies.
The police stated that handcuffing the two-wheelers is an attempt to save the seized items from thieves. How the police can be trusted with locals’ security when it is unable to protect seized items at the stations?

The Prime Minister inaugurated Green Line Bus in Karachi. However, one of the police vehicles that were appointed for the premier’s security ran out of petrol.
Personnel pushed the vehicle onto a roadside where it was abandoned. Hopefully the authorities will recover the vehicle once the Prime Minister leaves for the federal capital.

It is not all about Sindh government’s slackness as earlier in February, personnel who were appointed with polio workers’ team for security were left behind when government vehicle needed a push start in Gulistan Johar.
Police and the government had vowed to ensure fool proof security of the polio workers. However, mere lip services have been done in the past and from the looks of it, are still in fashion.
