Summary NAB has filed another reference against Dr. Asim in NAB court
KARACHI (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed another reference in a NAB court against senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Dr. Asim Hussain on Thursday, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, in the reference filed to the NAB court six suspects charged have been charged including Dr. Asim. Two of the suspects are on bail while three are wanted. There is a 40-page investigative report against Dr. Asim in the reference which includes three thousand and seventy-four evidences against him.
Dr. Asim is facing charges of 462 billion rupees worth of corruption. There are accusations of money-laundering, hidden property, illegal allotments, land grabbing, misuse of authority and fraud using the name of trust on Dr. Asim. Two suspects in the reference with Dr. Asim, Safdar and Akhtar Hussain are on bail.
Abdul Hamid, Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmad and Saood are fugitives. NAB officials will file another reference against Dr. Asim on March 9 which is related to the corruption and illegal contracts given by Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC). The former Managing Director (MD) and the current MD of SSGC are under arrest.
