Summary APC called by PPP for population census is a positive step and PTI will be a part of it: Arif Alvi

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Sindh government on Friday has invited Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to attend an All-Parties Conference (APC) regarding population census. PTI leader Arif Alvi has called this a positive step by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

According to the details, PPP’s delegation led by Taj Haider arrived at Alvi’s residence. The PPP delegation included Najmi Alam, Waqar Mehdi and Rashid Rabbani. The delegation was met by PTI’s Arif Alvi and Member Sindh Assembly Khurram Sher Zamman. An invitation for attending the APC was extended by the PPP delegation during the meeting.

Talking to the media after the meeting, PTI leader Alvi stated that the APC called by PPP for population census was a positive step and PTI will be a part of it. Alvi stated that a fair distribution of resources could only be achieved if population census was carried out properly.

Speaking on the occasion, PPP leader Taj Haider stated that population census was a sensitive matter for which an APC was called to discuss the issue with other parties as well.
