Summary Nawaz Sharif addressed the joint sitting of the AJK Assembly and Kashmir Council in Muzaffarabad.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday reiterated that solution to all outstanding issues, including Kashmir dispute, between India and Pakistan lies in the dialogue process.
Addressing the joint sitting of the AJK Assembly and Kashmir Council in Muzaffarabad on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, the Prime Minister said prosperity and development in South Asia would remain a dream unless core issues are solved peacefully.

The Prime Minister expressed the hope that comprehensive bilateral dialogue process between Pakistan and India would move forward in days to come.
Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan is ready to cooperate with India on every matter, including terrorism.
He said Pakistan wants peace in the entire South Asia of which Kashmir is an important region.
It is the matter of UN’s authority and prestige to solve the issue of Kashmir according to its resolutions, he added.
Commenting on AJK’s development, the Prime Minister assured that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project would also benefit AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan. He announced 250 million rupees for development projects in Azad Kashmir.
He said many hydro-electricity projects are also being initiated in AJK.
The Prime Minister said we want to build a railway link from Islamabad to Muzaffarabad and a highway from Mirpur to Muzaffarabad. He said a project to construct expressway from Murree to Muzaffarabad is also under consideration.
Commenting on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees‘ protest, Nawaz Sharif said the government is working for the improvement of the national flag carrier and would not succumb to unjustified protests.
Earlier in his message on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, the Prime Minister said: "On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day the Government and the people of Pakistan reiterate their continued and steadfast political, moral and diplomatic support to the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their heroic struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination. The people of Jammu and Kashmir were promised this right 68 years ago by the international community but India has continued to deny them their inalienable right by refusing to implement UN Security Council resolution on Kashmir.”
He said the valiant Kashmiris have rendered unmatched sacrifices in their just struggle. However, all the Indian brutalities and atrocities have failed to deter the people of IOK from their cause for freedom from Indian oppression. The people of Pakistan and freedom-loving people across the world salute them for their courage, bravery and persistence in facing the worst kind of human rights abuses, violence and suppression by the Indian security forces.
“Pakistan is committed to a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute based on UN resolutions. Pakistan reminds the international community of its responsibilities in the matter and urges it to fulfill its promise made with the people of Jammu and Kashmir 68 years ago. Peace in the region will remain elusive until the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the will of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Nawaz Sharif stated.
Welcoming Nawaz Sharif, Speaker AJK Assembly Ghulam Sadiq said the visit of Prime Minister of Pakistan to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir will further strengthen our struggle against Indian occupation.
Speaking on the occasion, AJK Prime Minister lauded the Pakistan Prime Minister for taking a clear stance on Kashmir in the United Nations.
In his speech, leader of the opposition Raja Farooq Haider said Pakistan is a source of strength and hopes for Kashmiris in their just struggle for freedom from Indian occupation.
