Summary Govt to provide compensation on land acquired for Orange Train project after protests by affectees
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Government of Punjab has announced on Saturday to start paying compensations to the affected people of Orange Train Project from February 1, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, applications will be taken in Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) Johar Town office and in special camps formed in Jain Mandir, Engineering University and Thokar Niaz Baig areas of Lahore.
The affected people have to submit their applications to the name of Land Acquisition’s Collector LDA. They have to provide Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) copy, CNIC copies of two witnesses, indemnity bonds on affidavits worth one hundred rupees, affidavit worth fifty rupees, attested copies of registries, possession certificate for compensation authenticated by the Revenue officer, attested copies of transfer of land, utility bills and the receipt of property tax.
The opposition and the affected people have been protesting for the compensation for the orange train project.
