Summary 'Joint opposition' seems perished at very first demonstration as PPP workers force Rasheed out
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – ‘Joint Opposition’ dream in Punjab on Sunday seemed to have shattered already as Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) workers were livid with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Mehmood-ur-Rasheed as he joined the protest against Orange Line Metro Train project, reported Dunya News.
According to details, PPP workers pushed Mehmood-ur-Rasheed out of the protest against Orange Line Metro Train project and forced him to leave the protest. Only a few days ago, a joint opposition was formed in Punjab and promises were made to work jointly against the government. The joint opposition gave a call for protest at Jain Mandir in Lahore. PPP staged the protest but when Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed arrived at the scene, the PPP workers got out of control and started raising slogans against PTI and its chairman Imran Khan.
Although Rasheed tried to explain that the opposition has joined hands in Punjab now and a grand alliance of the opposition parties has been found in Punjab but the ‘Jiyalas’ weren’t ready to listen to him. Going a step forward after the slogans, PPP workers started pushing Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly and forced him to leave the protest.
