KARACHI (Dunya News) - An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday in Karachi has issued non-bailable warrants of the suspected fugitives in Dr. Asim Hussain s case. The court also postponed the hearing till February 4, reported Dunya News.

According to the details, the Investigation Officer (IO) presented the report on the fugitive suspects. The report said that a letter has been written to Director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for the arrest of Qadir Patel, Saleem Shehzad and Anis Qaimkhani who have fled abroad. The IO told the court that the FIA has not yet responded to the letter.

The lawyers of Dr Asim filed a petition to provide them some needed documents. The lawyers said that some of the documents regarding the case have not been given to them. The court reserved the judgment on their petition.

The court postponed the case till next hearing on February, 4. The court also issued non-bailable warrants of the suspected fugitives and ordered to present them in the court on the next hearing.

Pakistan People s Party s leader and former petroleum minister, Dr Asim allegedly provided shelter to target killers and terrorists in the name of treatment at his hospital in Karachi.

A case registered in North Nazimabad Police Station alleged Dr Asim of terror facilitation. He is accused of providing shelter to target killers and militants at  his hospital in Karachi. The accused has pleaded not guilty to both corruption and terror references.

The accused is also facing a case in Accountability Court (AC). National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is probing corruption reference against Dr Asim.

In the last hearing at the accountability court, Dr Asim’s remand was extended in NAB’s custody.
