Summary PTI intraparty election commission has released electoral code of conduct on Saturday
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Code of conduct for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) intraparty elections has on Saturday been released by the party’s election commission, reported Dunya News.
According to the code of conduct, the candidates are not allowed to lead rallies, processions or public meetings. They have also been forbidden to use wall-chalking, fireworks and sale and purchase of votes during the election campaign or afterwards.
The candidates are allowed to run their campaigns through social media, person-to-person meetings and pamphlets.
PTI workers have welcomed the code of conduct released by the party’s election commission. They said that the code of conduct must be followed.
The code of conduct also states that the candidates will not be able to host their voters at feasts. Those trying to purchase the votes through force or through lucrative offers will be eliminated from the election.
