Summary FIRs registered against schools in regards to school closure will be withdrawn, says CM Punjab.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday stated that the decision of closing schools was primarily taken due to the severely cold weather. He informed that FIRs registered against schools in regards to the school closure matter will be withdrawn.
Speaking on the issue of Orange Line project, CM Punjab stated that only those riding in ‘Pajeros’ have a problem with the project. He stated that this project was a result of government to government funding and is a gift from China.
CM Punjab further stated that there is no link of Orange Line project with Pak-China Economic Corridor. He stated that separate land has been obtained to preserve cultural heritage.
Reiterating CM Punjab’s statements, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah also stated that the actual reason behind closure of schools is extreme cold weather and not the threats but the Law Minister said that threats do exist. He was addressing a meeting focusing on the security of schools.
