KARACHI (Dunya News) – All Pakistan Oil Tankers Owner Association (APOTOA) and goods transporters on Tuesday have declared an indefinite strike to be observed from 30th of January for the acceptance of their demands.
APOTOA declared the strike due to the conflict on rent prices with petroleum companies and National Highway Authority (NHA) while goods transporters announced the shutdown in protest of the rise in income tax rates.
A joint framework for protest against the grievances has been developed by both organizations.
According to the leaders of both organizations, an indefinite strike will be started unless their demands were not met within 72 hours.
