Summary 3 accomplices of the exterminated terrorists managed to escape during the fire fight in Layyah.
LAYYAH (Dunya News) – Action intensified against extremists Friday as nine terrorists were shot dead in clashes with law enforcement agencies across the country. Three Al-Qeda terrorists were shot dead in Layyah while six suspects were gunned down by Frontier Corps in Balochistan’s area of Mashkay.
According to the details, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) exterminated 3 terrorists of Al-Qaeda during a clash in Layyah. 3 accomplices of the killed terrorists managed to escape during the fire fight.
According to CTD officials, action was conducted in Golay Wala jungle on information of presence of 6 terrorists in the area. Terrorists attacked the officials with grenades upon seeing them and started firing. 3 of the terrorists were during retaliatory fire.
CTD has stated that the neutralized terrorists could not be identified.
Blockades have been set up throughout the city in collaboration with local police force for the capture of escaped terrorists.
CTD officials informed that the killed suspects were trained in fighting while grenades and firearms have also been recovered from the felons.
Meanwhile in Balochistan, Frontier Corps conducted a search operation in Mashkay on information of presence of terrorists. Suspects opened fire on the officers to which they gave a befitting reply resulting in six terrorists being killed. An FC officer was martyred during the clash while 4 sustained injuries.
FC officials have recovered a large cache of firearms and explosives from the terrorists hideout. Three of the killed terrorists have been identified as Dilshaad, Abdul Wahid and Naik Mohammad.
FC officials have also arrested 5 alleged suspects from Kharan s area of Gawash. A hand grenade, SMG, Kalashnikov and a pistol have been recovered from the suspects.
