LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab government on Wednesday has ordered fool proof security arrangements to be assured in educational institutions throughout the province. The orders came in light of the earlier deadly Charsadda attacks that left 20 martyred. The orders state that the institution will not be allowed to work in case of ineffective security measures.
According to the details, significant decisions were made during a meeting presided by Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shahbaz Sharif after the attack at Bacha Khan University in Charsadda.
According to the issued orders, vehicles being employed for the transportation of students shall be checked regularly and shall be parked in a safe place.
Special committees of the Punjab government will visit A-category schools on daily basis to analyze the security arrangements.
Polio and measles vaccination teams will only be allowed to enter schools and educational institutions after complete identification and verification.
According to the orders of the Interior department, presence of irrelevant individuals within 30 meters of the institute during the start and end of school day will not be allowed.
In addition to this, the provincial government has also advised the tightening of security at all bus stands, railway stations and public places.
Meanwhile intelligence department has also been advised to conduct search operations in other areas while the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has been ordered to remain vigilant at all times.
