LAHORE (Web Desk) – At least 44 people have lost their lives in four attacks since start of 2016 while more than 46 have been injured, Dunya News reported Wednesday.
Three attacks were carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) while one in Balochistan’s capital, Quetta. Peshawar has been hit twice since the start of 2016 while Charsadda once.
On January 4, a bomb went off near security forces vehicle in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Peshawar however, no casualties were reported.
On January 13, a suicide blast outside a polio vaccination centre in Quetta martyred 14 innocent locals. The martyrs included as many as 12 Balochistan Police personnel.

It was the third day of an anti-polio drive in the provincial capital. However, polio teams and law enforcers deployed for their security continued the vaccination rive despite threats.
On January 19, militant outfit claimed another ten lives in Peshawar as a suicide bomber exploded in a market on the outskirts of the city.

Sources stated that a police official present in market was the target
On Wednesday, four militants entered the Bacha Khan University and opened fire. At least 20 people were martyred including assistant professor Syed Hamid Hussain.
