BARKHAN (Dunya News) – Frontier Corps (FC) on Wednesday killed three militants including commander of banned outfit while another three were also taken into custody during operation in Balochistan’s Barkhan area.
Frontier Corps (FC) spokesman told the media that the operation was held on a tip off received about the presence of criminal elements in Barkhan. The alleged terrorists opened fire at security officers retaliating to which, three militants were killed while three others were apprehended.
The spokesman revealed that the miscreants were involved in heinous crimes and other acts of terrorism. However, forces also claimed to have confiscated huge cache of weapons from the possession of suspects.
Officials say more than 3,000 militants have been killed since the launch of the latest offensive in tribal areas of Pakistan.
