Summary Qaim Ali Shah said that the issue of Rangers' powers in Sindh has been settled, announcement soon
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Qaim Ali Shah has on Monday said that the issue of Rangers’ powers in Sindh has been settled and the announcement will be made in a day or two, reported Dunay News.
Talking informally to the newly elected officials of Karachi Press Club, Qaim Ali Shah said that the Rangers’ powers issue wasn’t as serious as it was made. He said that the issue has already been settled and the announcement will be made in a day or two. He said that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had to come to Karachi for settling the issue of Rangers’ powers but he didn’t come.
Qaim Ali Shah added that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is demanding the powers for the local body representatives that they had in the 2001 bill but the demand cannot be met.
On the other hand, CM also met Corps Commander Karachi Naveed Mukhtar at CM House Karachi. The meeting discussed the implementation of National Action Plan and the overall situation of security in the province. Ongoing targeted operation in Karachi and the decisions of the apex committee were also discussed.
