MULTAN (Dunya News) – Government inefficient performance has badly affected the water purification plants which were installed after utilizing Rs 50 crore in Multan.
According to details, about 80 percent underground water is dangerous for drinking due to which the local government constructed as many as 146 water purification plants worth Rs 50.25 crore but the administrative ignorance has engulfed more than 90 plants.
The purification plants have turned into a junkyard despite allocating annual funds in this regard.
Locals lashed out at the government and demanded action against the matter as early as possible. They said this worst situation has intensified hepatitis and other fatal diseases in the metropolis.
On the other hand, the authorities are only satisfying locals with false promises.
