NEW DELHI (Dunya News) – Reverting to anti-Pakistan rhetoric, India has now leveled fresh set of allegations against Pakistan days after the deadly terrorist attack on Pathankot airbase, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the Indian Foreign Secretary has said they let a ‘hand of friendship’ to Pakistan but won’t tolerate terrorists who he claimed were from Pakistan.
In a media briefing, Indian Foreign Secretary Vikas Swarup said India wants good relations with all neighbours including Pakistan but, he said, Pakistan has to take the lead for the sake of peace in the region.
He said India has provided ‘actionable’ intelligence to Pakistan related to the Pathankot airbase attack, adding that the ball is now in Pakistan’s court. Swarup said India will now await Pakistan’s action.
In a question regarding Foreign Secretary level talks between India and Pakistan, he said January 15 is still seven days ahead and that a lot can change by then.
Swarup said if Pakistan acts on assurances it gave then situation will definitely improve in the positive direction. He said India’s policy on Pakistan is clear, adding that all issues were discussed in the Bangkok meeting.
