LAHORE (Dunya News) – Police late Monday night arrested two members of the Islamic State (IS) during a search operation in various areas of the city. The 2 members of the extremist group were arrested after being identified by members Dr Usman Malik and Ahsan Siddiq who were arrested earlier.

Law enforcement agencies have tightened their noose around the banned organization.Culprit Talha and an operative related to IT engineering Amjad Rizwan were apprehended from Awan Town. Banned literature, laptops and numerous DVD’s were found with the suspects.

Lahore police also conducted a search operation in Nadrabad, Bhatta Chowk, Bedian Road and surrounding areas and took 17 suspected individuals into custody. The individuals were taken into custody due to incomplete identification documents and for violation of Tenancy Act.
