Summary Motorists were stuck in the traffic havoc for 5 hours before the roads finally cleared.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Repair work late Saturday night on a railway track caused a severe traffic jam at Drigh road Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi. Motorists were stuck for 5 hours in the traffic havoc until the road was finally cleared so commuters could be on their way.
Thousands of cars were stuck in the unrelenting traffic pile up since 11:00 PM causing a massive queue of cars from Drigh road to Baloch Colony.The traffic havoc also affected routes from Star Gate to Drigh road and Gulistan-e-Johar to Shahrah-e-Faisal.
Motorists stuck in the traffic stated that it was impossible to reach their destinations in time now. The roads only cleared when traffic on the roads diminshed bit by bit.
The administration has informed however that the railway track repair work will continue till 11:00 AM Sunday morning.
