Summary Almost all the political parties of the country take turns by 'buying' commission, says Khan
LODHRAN (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Thursday has demanded a package of Rs 2.5 billion for the welfare of Lodhran locals.
The PTI chairman addressed a rally in Lodhran today as part of celebrations after Jahangir Tareen’s victory in NA-154 by-poll.
Khan said that the people of Lodhran fought federal and provincial governments and succeeded. He said that PTI is pursuing ‘jihad’ against corrupt influential persons. Lodhran locals sided with justice and what was right, he added.
He said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Fazlur Rehman are all colluding for an immoral cause.

Celebrations: PTI workers raise slogans and rejoice in Lodhran
Khan said that almost all the political parties of the country take turns by ‘buying’ Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The winning PTI representative and secretary general Jahangir Tareen also spoke on the occassion. He asked the Prime Minister to put aside Rs 2.5 billion for Lodhran as he would be sitting in the National Assembly (NA) now.
Announcing an end to VIP protocol, Chairman PTI expressed sorrow over the death of 10-year-old Bisma. He said that the nation mourns the loss of the young child as much as the loss of life at APS Peshawar.
In an apparent jibe at the Bilawal Bhutto, he said that if someone is so afraid of death, he should sit at home. Khan said that no one even CM KP would be allowed VIP protocol from now onwards.
Earlier on his arrival in Lodhran, Imran Khan conversed with the media and said that several dummy polling stations were caught in NA-154 while election was still rigged at some stations in the constituency.
Khan said that PTI defeated the ruling party with a margin of as many as 40,000 votes which is huge. He said that the party worked really hard and thus deserved this achievement.
Tareen won the seat with more than 1.17 lac votes while PML-N’s Siddique Baloch could only manage 73,247 votes. Overall polling situation on December 23 remained in control owing to Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies.
A re-poll was ordered in the constituency by election tribunal after Siddique Baloch was denotified in August for possession of fake academic credentials. Baloch had won the seat in the General Elections 2013 as an independent candidate and got himself associated with PML-N afterwards.
