LAHORE (Dunya News) – The police on Saturday recovered a heavy cache of weaponry in Lahore, foiling a major terror bid, Dunya News reported.
Addressing a press conference, CCPO Lahore Amin Vains said that police acted against the illegal weapon suppliers and dealers of the city as part of a special campaign after which heavy cache of illegal weapons that was supplied to the terrorists has been recovered.
The police have arrested as many as 13 accused including facilitators of banned terrorist outfits and seized heavy cache of weaponry from their possession.
The dealers used to supply this weapon illegally to the terrorists. The CCPO Lahore said that the network of illegal weapon suppliers has been broken.
Answering a question about attacks on media houses, he said development in this regard is ongoing and the suspects will be exposed very soon.

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Thursday foiled a major terror bid as they arrested as many as 6 terrorists after raiding Township and Bedian Road areas of Lahore.
According to details, 6 terrorists have been arrested after the CTD police raided multiple areas of Lahore. Heavy cache of weapons and explosives were recovered from the terrorists’ possession.
As per the sources, the arrested terrorists were planning major militancy activities in the provincial capital.
Reportedly, the CTD unit initially raided Khokhar Chowk area of Township and arrested 3 terrorists from there and after extracting information, raided Bedian Road area and took 3 more of their accomplices into custody.
The arrested terrorists are Inamul Haq, Yasin, Attaullah, Umar Sajid Jhangvi, Hidayatullah Farooqi and Muhammad Sadiq. They have been transferred to an undisclosed location for further investigation
