KARACHI (Dunya News) – Inspector General (IG) Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali on Saturday submitted the report of illegal recruitments in the police force to the Supreme Court, Dunya News reported.

As per the report, illegal recruitments in the police force were carried out between 2013 and 2014.

The IG Sindh has submitted the report in the Supreme Court Registry as per which illegal recruitments took place in the Sindh Police somewhere in the middle of 2013 and 2014.

The report said as many as 1 lac 8 thousand and 375 candidates had sent the applications and that 11,176 posts were filled out of 11,720. It said that the salaries to 2344 personnel have not been paid yet.

As per the report of the IG Sindh, the Supreme Court had sought the report of illegal recruitments in the Sindh Reserve Police.

The Supreme Court has also summoned Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Munir A Sheikh and Aftab Pathan. The apex court had taken the suo moto notice over the illegal recruitments.

The next hearing of the case will take place on December 22 at the Karachi Registry.
