KARACHI (Dunya News) – Security issues have been the fate of the last polio campaign of 2015 as teams could not carry on with their duties in two districts.
The campaign was to be conducted in two phases in Karachi however, first phase was hit by mismanagement. Anti-polio drive could not start in West Karachi and East Karachi. EDO Health Dr Zafar Ijaz has said that teams could not get on with their work without proper security.
However, anti-polio drive is underway in District Malir.
In the first phase, a three-day campaign was to be held in three districts which started on December 9.
