Army Chief shares intelligence with Afghan President, assures operational coordination

Summary Afghan President said that there is a need to increase cross-border coordination

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Army Chief General Raheel Sharif met with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on Wednesday and shared vital intelligence of terrorists’ hideout. General Raheel also assured Ghani of adequate support for operational coordination, reports Dunya News.

Afghan President visited General Headquarters in Rawalpindi where he met with General Raheel Sharif. During the course of the meeting, regional security especially that of Afghanistan was discussed in addition to resumption of peace dialogue. General Raheel also gave Ashraf Ghani vital intelligence on whereabouts of terrorists’ and gave assurance of operational support to the neighbouring country.

Speaking at the occasion, the Afghan President said that there is a need to increase cross-border coordination which will help in elimination of terrorism.
