ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday while announcing the verdict of Kissan Package review case has halted the implementation on one of its point till December 5.

The verdict of the case was announced by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan.

For increasing the production, ECP has given permission to raise the aid amount from Rs 2000 to Rs 4000 whereas interest rate has been reduced for the cultivation of rice and cotton.

During the hearing, Chief Election Commissioner once again got furious on stay order issues and said that High court issue stay order on every verdict of ECP.

He stated that courts do not have any authority to interfere in the matters of ECP.

He also said that 50 percent strength of ECP is wasted in solving such issues.

PM Nawaz had announced the Rs 341 billion Kissan package on September 15 on which the Election Commission took notice and termed it as a violation of code of conduct.
