Summary Nisar condemned terrorist attack on military police in Karachi
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Tuesday said a decision has been taken to file a fresh First Information Report (FIR) of Imran Farooq murder case, Dunya News reported.
The federal minister said that his ministry has decided to formally lodge an FIR in Pakistan in light of Joint Investigation Team (JIT). He said full intelligence sharing with the United Kingdom (UK) was done and that Farooq was a Pakistani national.
Addressing a press conference, Ch Nisar condemned terrorist attack on military police in Karachi and said this won’t deter the ongoing Karachi operation, adding that it will continue with even more intensity.
He said his ministry has extended the time for registrations of Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) for another month.
He said it is the first time in Pakistan’s history that an attempt has been made to bring the international NGOs in the fold of the law. Ch Nisar said that hundreds of NGOs were working in Pakistan and therefore the last date of registration has been extended by a month.
Ch Nisar said that some countries are deporting Pakistanis after accusing them terrorism, adding that an investigation will be launched in Pakistan if any evidence is presented.
