Fesco employees vow to defy loadshedding order to protest privatisation

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) employees who are protesting against the privatization of the department have announced not to conduct load shedding.

The protesters are all set to technically undermine the government in wake of privatizing the profit entity.

The employees took out a rally and warned the government that if the privatization decision is not taken back in two days then power cut will not be carried out in the Fesco region.

Besides this offices have also been locked down in the Fesco headquarter due to which work in Faisalabad, Bakhar, Jhang, toba Tek Singh and Mianwali including all other districts have come to a standstill.

The protesters while giving a tough time to the authorities have boycotted all the tasks including meter reading and bill printing.

Whatever the outcome of the protest is, the decision of abstaining from load shedding is nothing of a blessing for the public.
