Summary 2nd PTI worker injured during clash with PML-N, also died; relatives protest outside Governor House
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – The 2nd Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker who had been injured during a clash with Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) workers in Lahore also succumbed to injuries on Sunday. Relatives of the dead protested outside Governor House Lahore with the dead body. PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that full-fledged protest will be launched if murderers didn’t get caught, reported Dunya News.
As another family lost its valuable son to petty political infighting, relatives of the dead mourned their loss outside Governor House. According to details, PTI and PML-N workers clashed during the Local Body elections in Phool Nagar and PTI workers Abdul Jaan and Ayaz got injured in firing. Abdul died later but Ayaz kept fighting with the injuries till today when he also succumbed to injuries at Jinnah Hospital, Lahore.
The aggrieved family and PTI workers took the dead body to Governor House and demanded justice. Orphans of unfortunate Ayaz kept crying and calling for their father.
Imran Khan said that severe protests will be launched if the killers are not brought to the book while PTI Punjab Organizer Chaudhry Sarwar alleged the Punjab government of target-killing the PTI workers. He said that the police should be told to catch the culprits instead of using them in the elections. He said that the provincial government is backing the target-killers. “I am warning the government that every road of Lahore will be blocked if any PTI worker gets killed now. Government has crossed all limits of tyranny”, he said.
The protesters dispersed as the police assured them of arresting the killers as soon as possible.
