Summary Bhatti has confessed to have planned a major terror bid during Muharram 10 in Lahore.

DUBAI (Dunya News) – Interpol on Thursday has apprehended head of banned outfit s  death squad  Haroon Bhatti in Dubai.

The operation was conducted with the joint strive of Interpol and Lahore police personnel.

SSP CIA Muhammad Umar Virk stated that investigation from the under custody terrorist is underway however, the suspect Haroon Bhatti has confessed to have planned a major terror bid during Muharram 10 in Lahore.

On the other hand, in the wake of outfit’s head claim, the Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) has been received directives to form teams for ensuring door-to-door search.

The suspect Haroon was a member of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi’s founding bench and a head of target killing group.

It is pertinent to mention here that the detained militant was involved in heinous crimes including attack on Allama Nasir Abbas on December 16, 2013. The suspect was also found guilty in the assassinations of eye specialist Syed Ali Haider and his young son who were gunned down on February 18, 2013.

Earlier, Inspector General (IG) Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera declared as many as 12 districts of Punjab as sensitive during the month of Muharram and stated that at least 2 lakh 658 personnel will perform their duties across the province on the occasion of Ashura.

The districts declared sensitive include Lahore, Rawalpindi, Jhang, Rahim Yar Khan, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Bhakkar, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalnagar, Chakwal and Pakpattan.

Metro Bus Service will remain closed from Friday to Saturday due to security reasons on the occasion of Muharram-ul-Haram and will resume on Sunday.

Mobile phone services will remain shut on Muharram 9 and 10 from 8am-8pm in Punjab while Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif has ordered authorities to have ban on pillion riding implemented.

In another step taken to ensure protection of locals, deployment of the Pakistan Army in the federal capital has been extended by as many as 90 days. The district administration has issued an official notification in the matter.

Army men have been deployed in Islamabad for security purposes. At least 350 soldiers are performing duties in the federal capital.
