Mobile service likely to remain suspended on 9, 10 Muharram in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad Administration has written to the Interior Ministry recommending suspension of mobile phone services on 9th and 10th of Muharram to ensure foolproof security, Dunya News reported.

According to details, Deputy Commissioner Mushtaq Ahmad has written to the Interior Ministry in which he recommended suspending mobile phone service in G6 and G7 area amid the Muharram processions.

Earlier, it was decided in the session headed by Ahmed to conduct a re-audit of security of churches in Islamabad. The security audit team will comprise district administration’s officials, special branch and church representatives.

The session also decided to increase police patrolling of churches. The meeting was attended also by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Sajid Kiani and pastors and fathers of various churches.
