KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Rangers spokesperson on Wednesday termed pamphlets put up for missing persons a conspiracy against the targeted operation in Karachi and said an investigation has been launched into it, Dunya News reported.

According to the Rangers spokesperson, the pamphlets being published since yesterday calling for recovery of missing persons is a conspiracy against Karachi’s peace.

He said the attempts are being made to undermine Rangers’ performance in front of people, adding that the purpose is to harm the ongoing operation.

Rangers’ spokesperson said the contents of the advertisements are based on lies, adding that investigation has been initiated into the issue.

He said Pakistan Rangers reserves the right to take legal action against the propaganda built on lies and that those elements will be exposed.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that advertisements against Rangers are an individual act and that their purpose is to create misunderstanding.

He said the provincial government has nothing to do with this. The police and Rangers are working together for restoration of peace, he added.

CM Sindh said investigation has been launched into the issue.
