Summary Negotiations for a possible coalition partnership were going on for past 3 months

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – It has been settled the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) will join the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government coalition and will gain 2 ministries in the process, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the KP government delegate met Aftab Sherpao at his residence in which the written agreement of QWP joining the provincial government was finalized.

As per the agreement, at least 2 ministries from minerals, irrigation and home ministries will be given to the new coalition partner. The government delegate included Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak, Jehangir Tareen, Shah Farman and Atif Farman.

It can be seen from the copy of the agreement that Tareen and Khattak from the provincial government while Sikandar Sherpao from the QWP have signed the agreement.

The agreement comprises 13 points and entails 2 ministries to and 2 special assistantships for the newly entered coalition partner.

Sikandar Sherpao will be given the portfolio of a ‘senior minister’. The KP government and the QWP party had been negotiating a possible coalition deal for the past 3 months.
