Summary Dr. Asim suffered a minor heart attack and is under treatment in a Karachi hospital
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Sindh High Court (SHC) has on Tuesday ordered Rangers’ doctors to treat Dr. Asim Hussain and directed them not to discharge him until they are completely satisfied. Dr. Asim had suffered a minor heart attack, reported Dunya News.
Dr. Asim Hussain has been shifted to the cardiology department but his angiography has been postponed due to kidney problem. SHC has stopped the hospital to discharge Asim Hussain upon his wife’s request.
Under Rangers’ custody for 90 days due to corruption allegations, Dr. Asim Hussain has been admitted to Karachi’s National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases. According to hospital sources, medical checkup of Dr Asim Hussain was conducted which revealed that he felt the pain due to a minor heart attack. Hospital sources told that Dr. Asim is also a patient of kidney and sugar.
Angiography of the patient cannot be done because of his kidney problem. A board will be set up after 3 days to decide whether his angiography can be done or not.
On the other hand, Dr. Asim’s wife filed an application in the SHC requesting not to discharge him until the doctors are completely satisfied. The application stated that shifting Dr. Asim to some other place may affect his health. SHC ordered the hospital not to discharge Dr. Asim unless the doctors are fully satisfied.
