Summary More than 200 people had challenged the delimitations in the high court
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh High Court (SHC) on Saturday has annulled controversial delimitations of local body (LB) elections and ordered Election Commission (EC) to devise new delimitations within five days.
The Sindh government had formed delimitations after Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan’s orders. More than 200 people had challenged those delimitations in the high court.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice (CJ) Faisal Arab and Justice Iqbal Kulor held hearing of the controversial delimitations’ case. The court will issue a written order on September 19 however, a brief verdict was passed.
