ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Alpine Club of Pakistan has placed a ban on climbing mountains without proper training on Thursday, reported Dunya News.
In a statement issued by the Alpine Club of Pakistan, it was stated that the team sent to Saroli peak was not sent after consultation. The climbing team that went missing was sent from Peaks Club Islamabad. The statement added that on September 7, the issue of the disappearance of three climbers come to attention of the organization while rescue team was sent on September 8 to seek the climbers.
The Ministry for Inter-Provincial Coordination and Defence authorities were contacted for the supply of helicopters. The statement stated that 2 rescue teams were sent for the purpose.
