RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – At least seven people including two students sustained injuries as some unidentified armed men opened fire at Chak Beli Rawat Road in Rawalpindi today (Monday).

According to police sources, the leader of dacoit group Abdul Qayyum opened gunshots while targeting a journalist Masood Jillani for broadcasting news against him.

The firing injured seven passersby who were shifted to DHQ Hospital for medical assistance.

Moreover, police personnel have cordoned off the entire area and have launched an investigation into the matter.
