Summary Chances of aligning undeveloped areas in national progress are killed by system, says JUI-F chief
DERA ISMAIL KHAN (Dunya News) – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman on Saturday has said that almost all political oppositions of the world are targeted with allegations of terrorism and graft after ideological politics ended with Soviet Union’s demise.
He expressed these views while talking to the media after attending an oath-taking ceremony at Gomal University.
He said that since the fall of Soviet Union, almost all oppositions in the world have been targeted with corruption among other accusations. Rehman said that political oppositions faced terrorism-related allegations after United States (US) 9/11 incident.
While talking about his role as mediator in Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) resignations matter, JUI-F leader said that he convinced the members for talks however, as far as their return in the Parliament is concerned government is responsible.
Earlier while addressing the oath-taking ceremony, he said that the distribution of resources in the country is unfair. He said that chances of aligning undeveloped areas in national progress are killed by system.
Rehman said that Dera Ismail Khan has at least 18 lac acres arable land whereas irrigation system supports mere 3,500 acres.
The JUI-F chief stressed need for small dams to support agriculture in different areas.
