Summary DG Barki will hold a separate meeting with Indian counterpart in addition to delegations' sitting
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A 16-member delegation which is led by Rangers Punjab Director General (DG) Major General Umar Farooq Barki on Wednesday has left for New Delhi for border security talks.
The delegation includes officials of Interior Ministry, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) among Rangers. National Security Advisor (NSA) Sartaj Aziz said that the border security chief-level talks will lessen tensions between the neighbours.
DG Barki will hold a separate meeting with Indian counterpart in addition to delegations’ sitting in three-day visit.
Pakistan will raise as many as four issues in the talks including immediate return of unintentional trespassers on borders.
The other matters include Line of Control (LoC) firing, liquor and currency smuggling by India, border violation of Indian drone and martyrdom of two security personnel.
