Summary Target-killing incidents have dropped sharply but street crime has not yet been controlled

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – A sharp decline in the target-killing incidents has been observed ever since the targeted operation has started in the city. However, the street crime has increased in the economic hub of the country due to which the citizens seem quite worried, reported Dunya News.

Police has not been able to control the street crime in the City of Quaid and even the senior officials of the department acknowledge this shortcoming.

Residents of Karachi are quite worried about the situation. They fear using mobile phone outside their houses and the fear of getting looted on gun-point is still very much fresh in the minds of the citizens. The citizens said that the street crime will not be controlled unless the police department gets serious about its job.

Karachi residents said that action against street crime should be done like the operation against target-killing so that security can be provided to the people of the city.
