Tribute will be paid to the martyrs of 1965 war by observing one minute silence at 9.29 am. This will follow airing of national anthem by all broadcasting networks at 9.30 am.
The civil society will actively take part in these programs to highlight the strong commitment of the nation and the armed forces to defend the motherland in the face of aggression by India.
Main functions of the day will be held at General Headquarters Rawalpindi and Convention Centre in Islamabad to pay tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan.
In this connection, there will be fireworks in the night at F-9 Park Islamabad today. Entry into the park will be free of cost for the general public.
In this connection, Pakistan Air Force has arranged an exhibition of aviation paintings and aircraft models at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar.
The theme of the exhibition is "Pakistan Air Force - a saga of courage and sacrifice".
The exhibition will continue till tomorrow.
