Summary Suspected terrorist has confessed his links with India's intelligence agency RAW.
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Security forces have arrested a suspected terrorist from Quetta in an intelligence-based operation today (Saturday).
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the suspected terrorist was planning to carry out attacks in Quetta on the occasion of Defence Day on Sunday.
Six kilograms of explosives, a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) and nuts and bolts were also recovered from his possession. Another IED planted in the city was also neutralized by the bomb disposal squad.
The arrested man has confessed his links with Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and also admitted to carrying out two attacks in different areas of Quetta which claimed numerous lives.
In a separate raid, intelligence agencies nabbed two Tehreek-e-Taliban commanders in Gawal Ismailzai area of Qila Saifullah.
Both terrorists were planning a major attack in the provincial capital. They were shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
Defence Day is observed on 6th September every year as people pay homage to the martyrs who gave supreme sacrifices of their life for the defence of the motherland during the Pakistan-India War in 1965.
