Summary Protesting against provincial sales tax, oil-tankers owners close supply of fuel for indefinite time
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Protesting against the imposition of provincial sales tax, oil-tankers owners have on Monday announced cutting supply of fuel for indefinite period of time, reported Dunya News.
All Pakistan Oil Tankers Owners Association has demanded immediate withdrawal of sales tax on oil tankers from all 4 provinces. According to the owners, they were forced by the imposition of sales tax by the Punjab government. They said that they have been paying various taxes on oil tankers already. They made it clear that the fuel supply will remain closed till the withdrawal of this tax.
