Summary Info Minister says PM had already demanded report on Dr. Asim's arrest before Zardari's statement
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has on Monday said that the word ‘revenge’ does not feature in Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s dictionary. He said that the PM had already demanded report on Dr. Asim’s arrest before the former President Asif Ali Zardari’s statement, reported Dunya News.
Responding to Asif Zardari in a press conference in Islamabad, Information Minister said that PM always acted upon the Charter of Democracy (COD) ever since he signed it. He said that PM never followed the politics of revenge and Asif Zardari will soon realize it.
“Nawaz Sharif and former PM Benazir Bhutto had buried the politics of revenge through the COD and it will never be resurrected”, said Rashid.
Federal Minister said that the current government didn’t make any cases against anyone. “If someone has done something in Karachi, he will go to court and if he hasn’t done anything wrong, he will come back”, he said. He said that Zardari is a big politician and his words should be heard with great care. “We had tolerated even abusive language for 6 months. It is opposition’s job to speak harsh”, said the minister.
