Britain facilitates breakthrough in talks between govt, Baloch separatist leaders

Summary Talks were reportedly facilitated by Britain as part of backdoor diplomacy

LONDON (Dunya News) – Baloch separatist leaders have reportedly agreed to engage in a dialogue with the Pakistani government, a crucial breakthrough reportedly facilitated by Britain as part of backdoor diplomacy, Dunya News reported.

According to sources, Baloch separatist leaders have agreed to talk to the government because of efforts made by the British officials.

The dissident Baloch leaders can also announce to return to Pakistan any time soon, sourced added. Pakistan had reportedly requested the British officials to facilitate the dialogue with the Baloch leaders.

It merits mentioning here that head of Baloch Republican Party (BRP) Brahamdagh Bugti had already indicated he was ready to give up demand of independent Balochistan if people of the province wish so.

He had said he wants resolution of all issues through political means and peaceful dialogue.
