KARACHI (Dunya News) – Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday has adjourned hearing of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Amir Khan until September 5.
As the hearing progressed, the court asked why Rangers DSR who had arrested Khan is not present. However, the law officer said that the DSR would be present before the court in the next hearing. He said that Khan has been provided copies of witnesses’ statements.
Khan is accused of giving shelter to terrorists at party headquarters Nine Zero. Khan is likely to be indicted in the next hearing.
While talking to the media in court’s premises after the hearing, Khan said that leaders of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have fled the country. How PPP would fight ‘war’ without its leaders, he asked.
Khan posed the question after Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA) Khursheed Shah said on August 27 that laying hands on former president Zardari will spark ‘war’.
