Summary Out of 12, at least seven cases are against Gillani while five against Fahim
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Anti-Corruption Court on Thursday has issued arrest warrants of former prime minister (PM) Yousaf Raza Gilani and former federal minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim.
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) presented challans against the two leaders in as many as 12 cases. The court accepted the challans and ordered the agency to present the alleged culprits before court on September 10.
It is pertinent to mention here that the issue regarding delay in the matter was raised in ‘Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath’ programme after which the development has come in. FIA’s Assistant Director Bakhtyar Chana filed the challans.
Out of 12, at least seven cases are against Gillani while five against Fahim. The two are alleged of at least Rs 50 crore corruption.
FIA has appointed Chana as special public prosecutor in the case.
Fahim is under treatment in a hospital in London. It has been reported after issuance of arrest warrants that his medical condition has worsened. Fahim s immediate family has flown to London after learning about the news.
