KARACHI (Dunya News) – World boxing champion Amir Khan announced to establish a boxing academy in Lyari on Wednesday. He said that next boxing academy will come out of Karachi, reported Dunya News.
Amir Khan reached Lyari Stadium amidst much fanfare as the boxing champion was welcomed to the stadium in applause by spectators.
The event began as two boxers from Lyari fought a tightly contested match which was eventually won by fighter in blue trunks named Jehanzeb. Afterwards another bout took place involving 2 Rangers personnel.
Amir Khan awarded congratulated the contestants afterwards an announced the beginning of the 1-month boxing camp in which he announced the establishment of boxing camp in Lyari in his short speech.
