Summary In the first phase of polls, polling will take place in 20 districts of both provinces on October 31

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) approved schedule for local body elections in Sindh and Punjab on Wednesday.

In the first phase of elections, polling will take place in 20 districts of both provinces on October 31. Electoral rolls have been finalized in the districts as well.
Elections will be conducted in 12 districts of Punjab while election in 8 districts of Sindh will be held from October 31.

Collection for dates of nomination papers is from September 7 to 11 while the papers will be scrutinized from September 12 to 17. List of final candidates will be displayed from October 2.

In the first phase, election will be held in the following districts:

Punjab:

Lodhran, Vehari, Pakpattan, Okara, Bahawalnagar, Faislabad, Bakkhar, Lahore, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Gujrat and Chakwal

Sindh:

Khairpur, Sukkur, Ghotki, Larkana, Shikarpur, Kambar Shahdad Kot, Jacobabad and Kashmor.

Electoral rolls have been finalized by ECP in the above mentioned districts as well.
