Hajj operation starts from Karachi, 3 private flights leave for KSA

Summary Sardar Yousaf was there to see off pilgrims, says over 100,000 Pakistanis to perform Hajj this year

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Hajj operation for the year 2015 has on Sunday started from Karachi. 3 flights of the private airline companies took 790 pilgrims to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf was present on this occasion to see off the pilgrims. He said that over 100,000 pilgrims from Pakistan will perform Hajj this year, reported Dunya News.

First flight of a private airline took 150 pilgrims for Hajj, following which 2 other flights carried 640 to Saudi Arabia. Large number of people was present at the airport to see off the pilgrims on this occasion.

Federal Minister said on this occasion that special arrangements have been made for all the pilgrims traveling with private and national airline. He said that delay in Hajj flights will not tolerated. He said that Hajj expenditure has been reduced by Rs. 30,000 and some of the money will be returned to the pilgrims this year as well.
