Summary Three prime accused are still at large
KASUR (Dunya News) – The medical examination of abuse survivors -- eight boys and one girl – was completed on Saturday while the police have arrested another three suspects linked to the Kasur child abuse scandal, Dunya News reported.
According to details, there are three more accused identified as Irfan, Adnan and Ramzan involved in the scandal whereas at least three prime accused are still at large.
The three arrested recently have been handed over to the joint investigation team (JIT) by the Kasur police.
Meanwhile the medical examination of 9 survivors has been completed at the Medical District Hospital Kasur.
The families of the affected children said in a joint media briefing that they are being stopped by the local police from appearing before the JIT.
They said that if the police didn’t change its negative attitude then the affected families will observe complete boycott of appearing before the JIT and recording statements.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sheikhupura Shehzad Sultan said while talking to the media that Kasur scandal will reach its logical end, adding that expert investigators in cyber crime will be also involved in the investigation.
As many as 116 complaints have been received by the police and the JIT in the scandal and cases have been registered on 18 of them while the remaining are being processed.
